If you want some introduction, anyway
With great effort of Niklaus Giger, Julian Kappis, Marco Descher, Thomas Huster and many others, Elexis has grown to a professional medical practice system which is usable by doctors, who, in their vast majority, lack computer skills and do not want to achieve them. (I’m a doctor, not an engineer, said Leonard “Bones” McCoy in StarTrek, and so say many doctors today as well).
On the other hand, some of us do like to take things in their own hands. There should be a place for people like us. Such as this place here.
Elexis 3.ungrad…
- …works always in ’no-bullshit-mode’. It’s not your nanny but lets you do what you want (ad least if you’re logged in with admin rights). On the other hand: If you destroy anything, don’t blame me, blame yourself.
- …is open to experiments. If you have a good idea or a new feature you’d like to see in elexis, just do it. If it has some issues and crashes the system sometimes: Well, not funny, but not too terrible. We can always restart, can’t we? Just don’t make write accesses to the database, except on your own tables.
- …has no strict commit rules. Don’t commit anything that breaks the build. That’s all.
- …is happy, if you want to participate: Send pull requests or ask for commit rights.
- …is even more happy, if you document your work: What it is, what should I use it for. And, of course: Document all public Methods and fields in the sourcecode at least with a short sentence.
